The University of Limerick Enterprise & Finance Society (ULEFSoc) aims to integrate the academic life of the student with the practicalities of the world of work. The academic life of the student is very theoretical and we hope to apply this theory to prepare our members for their professional lives. Our mission is to promote professional development of University of Limerick students in the areas of entrepreneurship, business, leadership and management. We fulfil this mission by providing relevant forums and networking events that focus on business. This academic year, ULEFSoc aims to innovate its operations, widely expand its membership base, organise outstanding events and establish a strong foundation for a long lasting vibrant society. We offer members access to practical workshops on relevant course-related topics and current affairs. ULEFSoc also aims to host several high-profile guest speakers throughout the year as well as an annual trip to visit several financial institutions.ULEFSoc will host a careers evening during the year where employees from various strata of the business world will speak to members about their particular line of work. ULEFSoc also benefits from the use of the Kemmy Business School (KBS) Trading Floor, Ireland's first campus-based, simulated trading floor.ULEFSoc also provides members with a social forum to make new friends and enhance team-building skills through activities like paint-balling.
