The Buddha bowls are delicious and make a lovely light lunch.
A really beautiful spot on the banks of the river. We were warmly welcomed in English. The service was excellent and the food arrived in good time. We enjoyed our meal (although I would have liked more seasoning on the gambas). I would definitely go back there.
Great location with views of the Cathedral and overlooking the bridge and river. Disappointing changes to the menu and staff made the evening nothing special, as it used to be. The food was more to the standard of good \pub grub\ (meat and one veg.) but at restaurant prices. The finesse and individuality of our dishes were sadly missing. It maybe a while until we return........what a shame.
A really lovely place. Great location, decor and ambience. Superb food and wonderful owner and staff. Also beautiful and friendly family dog. Very popular - book to ensure table.
Great food and a friendly place
First of all this restaurant is placed in a very nice location near the medieval bridge of \Saint Etienne\, with an excellent view on the Vienne river. The staff is very polite. The place is on two levels so you can find free tables even with out reservation. The dishes are mostly traditional with Limousin beef stake one of the main attraction, the meat gourmands will be very satisfied. The deserts are very good too. You also find a nice collection of wines to choose from. In conclusion: a nice place with good service, suitable for groups, families with children or couples.
Excellent meal, excellent location, warm and friendly accueil. Thoroughly recommend. My only reasoning for not giving a 5 is that I am a fan of vegetables and salad and would have preferred to have seen a generous helping of greens with my main course, but that's a personal preference and I accept and respect that this is France and most French don't eat vegies or salad with their entrée and mains ... Overall a pretty quaint restaurant set in a calm, historic and beautiful place close to the centre of Limoges and overlooking the river and old bridge Saint Étienne. A \must return again\ for my restaurant directory of good reliable and delicious meals out. Well done Restaurant Saint Étienne ! Very pleased with our visit
