Amazing view, great walk, clean air, and wonderful sunset. Very recommended to see something different other than the beach.

Absolutely gorgeous, and we nearly didn't find it! Here's how to get there. From the Parador, walk towards the village along the main road. After the roundabout you need to cross the road on the zebra, because the pavement disappears on the left. You then see ahead on the left the Santander bank; it's a very large, very orange building, you can't miss it! Turn down the road by the side of this building, walk on the right hand side pavement. You come very soon to an old stone bridge. Very inconspicuously there is an opening in the bridge wall on the right. I can't remember if it's steps or a slope, but you go down there to the river. Start walking alongside the river away from the bridge, you'll come to a handsome stone building (the Ayuntamiento or Town Hall) with a little square in front and a small supermarket. Turn right into the square, go out the other side to a small stone bridge, and turn left along the quayside immediately after crossing. This is the beginning of the Paseo. It is good walking, tarmac, and wide enough to allow you to avoid easily the odd bike coming along. There is a children's playground after 100 yards, some attractive old buildings, some unattractive old buildings, some pleasant newish flats, half-a-dozen palm trees, and gorgeous views all the way. We were told that it is almost 2 km long in total, but we didn't go all the way so cannot say. But it is exceedingly pleasant. P.S. It's not a río, a river, but a ría, an estuary or tidal stretch of a river near its month. You can see the tide swirling in at the right time.

Beautiful walk alongside the river, with very nice views all around. Very worth doing.
