We haven't been able to visit Lincoln for the steampunk Asylum Festival this year and so missed this delightful tea shop. A week's stay within short driving distance has allowed us to stop off a couple of times this week and it is a delightful as we remembered. Lovely food, friendly staff and a great location in Old Lincoln, it is always worth visiting.

Lovely traditional tea house/cafe in a beautiful building on Steep Hill and a stone's throw from the cathedral. Gorgeous cakes and tea selection, great for lunch or afternoon tea. A special thank you to the lovely team who were so kind and warmed us up with tea and cake on the house after we had stopped to help a passer-by who had fallen unwell outside on the street. A really kind thought - thank you so much.
Lovely ambience. Great coffee. Paninis were ok, but sandwiches looked good. Very disappointing clotted cream. It was liquid and runny - not at all what it was supposed to be. When I asked the server about it, she told me that’s how it’s supposed to be. Table next to us had nice-looking cream, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
First time having afternoon tea and I loved it, the sandwiches were lovely and had a great selection of cakes. The scones were also really really nice, probably the best I've ever tasted and were freshly made and the afternoon tea was only 12.50 which I thought was great. I loved the Cath Kidston tea cup lighting upstairs and the little tea pots and sugar cubes. The decor was adorable and the place has a lovely vibe. I would definitely recommend.
Really tasty special hot chocolate on a cold night and very friendly service
