I was recommended to this neurologist without the knowledge that he was not in my insurance network. Like my previous optometrist’s office, when it came time for MRIs and tests, I received no information about whether or not these were covered by my insurance. Later, I found out it was my responsibility to check on that even though I’ve never been to a place where the assistants don’t call the insurance company first, or at least let you know what is happening so you can talk with your insurance company first. In addition to the stress of a medical concern, I’m left with bills that resulted from the office’s lack of consideration. The visit itself was fine. The receptionist was nice and the doctor was straight to the point and willing to share his own input, but I haven’t heard from them since I received my results even though they wanted to schedule a follow-up visit. If you do choose to visit this office, just make sure you understand your insurance and what is covered before moving forward with any scans or tests because no one else there is going to take the initiative to make sure it doesn’t come back to bite you later.

Treated extremely poor by Dr. Boes. Let me start this off by saying he made sure to make me feel inferior the second he walked in the room and didn’t bother to introduce himself. He told me that he didn’t believe any of the symptoms I was experiencing (even after running a few reflex tests) and made me feel awful about everything I said. I try to be as prepared as possible when going to a specialist’s office, so I kept a log and a list of symptoms, what triggered them, what time of day, etc. He skimmed it over like it was unimportant. He talked about me with the door open to another doctor in the office like there weren’t other patients there, including myself that could hear him from down the hallway as I was almost to the waiting room. DO. NOT. VISIT. THEM. :)

Terrible bedside manner from Dr. Boes, he doesn't seem like he cares about you at all. He rushed over whatever he had to say and asked a few basic questions, and when I tried to ask questions I had he gave short superficial answers and rushed me out the door. Felt like he was thinking about something else and was trying to get my appointments over as fast as he could. He acted like he had heard this story a hundred times and just threw me a script for the standard seizure medication. Overall bad experience.
