On my first day as a patient I received a telephone call from A Nebraska Medicine Liver Transplant team member. I have end stage liver cirrhosis and in need of a liver. The liver transplant team member informed me they had a liver for me. I went to the nursing station to in form the RN in charge I was in room 156 and needed to leave to Omaha. Her response was “who are you and directed a tech to escort me to my room and watch me wash my hands and put on a mask. I felt so belittled at the RN’s treatment and felt her corrosive attitude was because of my skin color. I hope the administrative staff at Hillcrest Firethorn relieve this RN of her duties.

if i could give this facility no stars, I would. The director lies to families, if youre lucky enough to get a call back from her. Get new management and you might get another star.
My mother is currently staying here. She has been there for a week and I have received 2 calls from her in the early morning hours telling me about the mistreatment she had to go through from the night nursing staff. She is now constantly telling me she wants to go home now but she is to stay for another 2 weeks. She has no problems during the day with any of the staff, this is only happening in the middle of the night. Last night she had a nurse yell at her saying that my mother isn't the only one there and that there are people dying there and if she needs to go to the restroom she can take herself. My mother is supposed to have assistance getting around which is why she is there in the first place. I still have not had my call returned from someone in the office to address this reoccurring issue.
More than we could've wished for. Mom says the food is excellent and the care she receives is above and beyond. Special shout out to Lexie for all of her efforts in making mom feel welcomed and keeping me informed of any changes in her care. You're a shining star!!! Keep it up. :-)
Beautiful facility, however our introduction to Hilcrest was less the stellar. Concierge was less then welcoming when I arrived, my Dad was plopped in his room with no instructions. No tour, the Nurse acted like she didn’t know we were coming. The call button didn’t work, found to be non functioning. This made our entire evening unpleasant since my Dad was a fall risk. Once the call button was replaced it was better. The wait in the cafeteria is long to order sometimes waiting 30 minutes to order. Dad will order from his room now. The food is delicious, to bad for the wait. Staff is negative and not very conversational. They seem unprepared and unobservant. Apparently to be well taken care of you must need to be in long term care. Hopefully this will be a short visit for us.
Terribly rude management
Rude staff
Long waits and some negative staff.
