Expediting with the Andersons

We dropped this evening in Lincoln, Ala., and drove a couple miles over to the I-20 Truck Stop to park for the night, do a couple loads of laundry and grab a bite to eat. We definitely recommend the Broiler Room restaurant. The food is good southern cooking, friendly staff and the prices are very reasonable. I, Heather, chose the pork chop dinner with mashed potatoes, fried okra and cornbread. Randall chose the hamburger steak dinner with onions and brown gravy, French fries, cold slaw, and texas toast. We washed it all down with some awesome sweet tea. The food was quick to arrive at our table and was piping hot.

Restaraunt. Chaplain and Wife wonderful. Wash at fuel dispensers, best price. And if you like to fish, a lake a walk away.

The food was really good, old fashioned truck stop type food. Chicken fried steak and hamburger steak done right! Super nice and fun staff. All around great experience. They have a huge paved lot and good price on fuel. What more do you want?

Those waitresses hustle. Big portions delivered. The showers are always clean,, need better water pressure but its good exercise jumping around in the shower trying to get wet.. One of my favorite stops.

Be very aware of your surroundings ,park in a lighted area if possible ,don’t leave any valuables laying in plain sight ,there’s a theft ring targeting truck drivers while they sleep in the truck . I had my window knocked out and wallet stolen while sleeping in the truck. After talking to the local Lincoln police and truck stop employee’s they both said this is an ongoing problem in the area and from Atlanta to Birmingham on I 20 . They also said the thieves have keys that will unlock most doors on the trucks . What I don’t understand is with this being an ongoing problem why does the truck stop not have security are the local police not patrol the lots .
