We found the Bingham branch very unprofessional. They either did not reply to emails and calls or took a very long time doing so. At the end of the contract they repeatedly requested we returned the property in a better condition than we found it. We argued our case. They then took 4 weeks to return the deposit, twice the time it should take.

I have been in an Ian Peat property for over 2 years and recently when it came to getting my deposit back, it took 2 months when it should have taken 2 weeks. That 2 months consisted of constant ringing and emailing Thomas Marsh. Ian Peat passed the responsibility to Thomas Marsh when they should have dealt with it themselves as the deposit was paid to them in the first place! The property I lived in was poorly maintained. It took them over 6 months to fix a hole in the roof...this was during winter! We were on gas and electric meters and whenever we asked them to top them up, they would tell us to stop mithering them even though it was their responsibility to pay for it. My advice to anyone is to avoid using Ian Peat to rent properties from. Especially if you are a student as they are not accredited by the University so the uni can't help you out when it all goes wrong! AVOID AVOID AVOID!
More than a year on, I am still to receive my deposit. This is probably the worst letting agency ever. Mr Thomas G Marsh is the worst of them all!!
