Beautiful Mess

The HR and employment practices here are deplorable and unethical. Hiding behind ‘misunderstandings’, gossip and assumptions, their nonchalant attitudes towards their employees’ livelihoods and ability to earni a living should be concerning to upper Management but they couldn’t care less. The way they treat employees and the way they respond to valid complaints about unprofessionalism is disgraceful and before anyone even considers permitting their loved ones to reside at their locations, I suggest they take a long hard look at the way Legacy allows their HR personnel as well as Supvs, Mgrs, etc to treat their Associates. I would also strongly advise anyone considering working for this company to look elsewhere and fast. The dining room Leaders speak to and treat high school aged employees as if they’re enslaved to Legacy, not allowing them to call in sick without being berated and spoken to unprofessionally and then fired without any communication, phone call, email or notice that they’re no longer employed. They have zero tolerance for anyone who expresses any inability to work a shift, despite that they are high school Juniors and Seniors, are threatened and intimidated by power hungry Supvs who then recommend termination based on lies. Even worse is HR doesn’t investigate or inquire about the facts of what actually occurred and only offering insincere scripted apologies with empty promises to evaluate how things are done moving forward. It should dishearten and alarm those in upper Management positions but it does not. It should incite prompt attention and a desire for a resolution that meets their employees’ satisfaction but it does not. Sure, the property is appealing on the outside. But what occurs on the inside is not. Google should create an option for ‘No Stars’ because this organization truly don’t deserve a single one.

I want to Thank the staff for welcoming my Dad into the adjustment of moving from his home to retirement living. I especially want to Thank Jeff Chapin for his prompt attention of finding an available room when i needed it. I really like the staff and Jocelyn Fitzgerald is so understanding of the needs of family going through this transition. All the nurses, front desk, kitchen, exercise room staff are doing such a great job everyday.
