My brother spent about a month with them. He has a terrible traumatic brain injury from a motorcycle accident. After being transferred from ICU he was on a ventilator, tracheotomy tube, tube feeding, broken and repaired fractured both bones in his lower wrist which was repaired and in a cast. He was unresponsive to most stimulation. He had not woke up in over 30 days. But with the Doctors, nursing staff and therapy staff he began to show improvement slowly. Every one there took their job very seriously to keep a very close eye on him. And because of Covid-19 visitation was limited. They never hesitated to answer my calls and let me talk to any staff I requested to get my questions answered. The doctor even called me to give me progress reports. After approximately another month he opened his eyes, was weaned from his ventilator to breath on his own, walk with assistance and started to talk and recognize us. I remember one of the first days I seen him there they had him sitting up in a special chair, hair was cleaned from all the blood from the accident and he was shaved and began to resemble my brother. That was only one of the best feelings I had while I was there with him. The case managers worked very efficiently to assist me with obtaining guardianship, education and financial assistance. I thank you all for taking such wonderful care of him when we were not able to be with him. I would highly recommend any one given the option available to use them. They have been a life saver for me and him!
