Kids inside said because of cold, the Inside was closed at 8:12pm when hours posted said closing at 9pm. Now, after talking with shift manager, they are saying it's because of COVID restrictions. Another taco john's in same city informed us that the closure, still to be at 9pm and not before, was due to scheduled power shutdown because of the cold weather. This other taco john's, were open and quick and courteous and worked their entire shift with two women. This taco john's had 6-8boys inside and still could not handle the job.

Drove up at 8:20pm. The door was locked. Seemed very strange as I could see 6 staff just sitting around inside. I noticed a sign on the door that said \do to cold temperatures we will be closing at 9pm.\ OK but it's 8:20pm so what's up. A young man cane to the closed door and yelled to me. \We are closed. It's to cold\ I pointed at the sign and said it's not 9pm. He just kept saying we are closed it's to cold. So I called another TB and asked about closing at 9 and why the lobby (with 6 staff sitting around) would be closed. Was told that is wrong, we are open until 9pm tonight the lobby and drive through. Went to the drive through and asked to talk to Mgr. Then was told that his Mgr told him to close 1 hr early due to COVID. Then why have the sign on the door say 9pm and have 6 staff just sitting around! I will be calling to talk to someone who knows more in the AM but this really passed me off. If you are closing ok go ahead but don't put one time on the sign and then close at another time. What a wast. I will not be back.
Stopped here for the first time in months and was wholly disappointed. Waited in the drive through for 20 min (can't get out or I would have left). The staff member had no sorry for the wait, just put her hand out for payment. The food looked and tasted like it sat for 15 of the 20 minutes wait. I used to enjoy this location a lot, don't know what happened.
The queso chicken burrito was one of the best burritos I have ever had, even in restaurants. Amazing cilantro lime rice, and black beans. I also loved the potato olés. The street tacos were also very good with he lime wedged squeezed and drizzled. The steak and potato burrito was overpriced and not that good. I would not recommend that item, but the enchiladas were tasty as were the bean burritos. I wish we had a taco John's near our home.
Got my order correct and good service. Would have gotten 5 stars if my patato ole's weren't luke warm.
