Absolutely brilliant! We did a private tour which was just wonderful. Meg, our keeper and guide was great and made sure we had every opportunity to see the animals at their best. The enclosures are brilliant, a huge investment to create a natural habitat for each animal. Hard to say which animals we liked best - they're all gorgeous and most come when called!

Absolutely amazing day out. 2 adults 3 kids ages between 5 and 13, there are fascinating, deeply knowledgeable talks by the keepers every 1/2 hour through the day highlighting not only the amazing lives and biology of our native animals, but their plight today, how we can help and wonderful anecdotes about the animals and birds that demonstrate how deeply the keepers care for their charges. Go for the whole day, take a picnic or not - there is a cafe - I guarantee it is a truly brilliant day out and a wonderful learning experience for all.

A lovely peaceful, well organised place to see our wildlife. The red squirrels have gained a walk through area but note the talk about them (when the squirrels gather for food) is at 1030. Many of the animals show themselves at various times depending on the weather etc so it’s worth going round a few times. It’s a compact site and easy to walk round. The keeper’s talks are every 30 minutes so it’s easy to stay all day. The canteen sells a range of snacks and hot drinks and there’s also a small shop.

Absolutely love this place. The animal keeper talks around feeding time are a brilliant way to see the animals up close and to learn a little about the wildlife around us. I highly recommend a visit.

Perfect to see our British wildlife up close and to learn all about them. Talks on each breed every half hour are very informative and educational for all. A lovely spot to visit. We should all know about the wildlife around us.
