Dr. Brenda Byrd was to be my primary care doctor at this location. I have NEVER seen her there. The only doctors that I have seen should honestly be retired. Other than the friendly staff I found no other reason to go to this location other than for a common cold. Luckily today I was able to change my doctors.

For anyone wondering, there is NO Dr. Byrd at this location who was supposed to be my PCP. I had to make a few phone calls with IlliniCare (medicaid) to try to establish where she was even truly located, as there are a few listed addresses for her on the web. Alternate locations aside from this one were closed, or the phone # was out of service. BUT SHE DOES NOT SEE PATIENTS HERE. & when I asked for her, I was told she was on vacation. When I asked when she'd return, I was told she was overseas.. "no one knew when she'd be back." Seriously?? When I then asked why this wasnt relayed to the insurance companies, I was given the cold shoulder. Seemed pretty shady to me. I went in for some simple labs & no one called with my results, I had to call THEM a week later to be told they didn't know where my results were, but that they would find out and give me a call. They didnt call. I called AGAIN the next day & miraculously they had them but with no explaination. Both times I went in, the Docs who saw me were both in a hurry it seemed, uninterested in my questions etc yet the office had no patients or 1 other waiting at the times I went in. Both nurses who I dealt with couldn't seem to even draw my blood & seemed nervous or inexperienced, & the 2nd time I went in for additional labs (because the labs I requested the 1st time I went in, the Doctor didnt order like he said he would. Didn't find that out til I went in for the follow up for the results) the nurse asked the Dr to draw my blood because the nurse had trouble (I've never had an issue being stuck by anyone previously) & he refused, telling me to go somewhere else to get my blood drawn. So not only does it seem this is the place for less than optimal care, but it has overall been a disappointing experience. I wouldnt recommend unless absolutely necessary. Oh and the bathrooms where gross, couldnt believe they were available for use by the public.
