Please Do NOT get fitted for Pointe Shoes at Edee's Place. She is not equipped to fit dancers into proper fitting pointe shoes. #1 golden rule of thumb... Not 1 type of shoe will fit every dancer. She only has 1 type of Pointe shoe (brand from So Danca) and has been fitting new pointe dancers improperly for 25years. NO mirror, NO Ballet Barre, not even a level and SOLID dance floor space to achieve a proper fitting. Makes me wonder what experience/training she has in dance, if at all. Most pointe shoe fittings take 1.5 -2 hours in length and are fitted by someone who has experience in dance and wearing pointe shoes. Upon returning the improper pointe shoes, myself and my ballet student were questioned about returning the accessories with them (the stitch kit- which was fine and we were gonna keep that anyway; and \ouch pouches\ which were NOT actually the \ouch pouch brand\ - they were \pro pads\ which were very impractical for a NEW dancer learning Pointe. So she pretty much Nagged us into keeping the stitch kit and the pointless pro pads. She has a general selection of many different types of shoes for different dance styles ie. Tap, Jazz, HipHop, ballet(slippers), contemporary. As well as dance wear supplies, BUT its Dated and still at regular prices. Please do your research when buying pointe shoes! And Miss Edee... please stop selling pointe shoes, stick to what you know.
Solid product and used Skate exchange saves money every year. Edee's got a good handle on her products and is efficient with finding skates for kids.
Great inventory levels, super fast shipping, great price, only complaint is that the women I was talking to seemed liked I was a bother. Only chatted for 2-3 minutes about an order as it was my first order from them. Will do business again, some times people are having a bad day:)
