I sent an agent to agent listing referral. The agent didn't request a referral document; but, took the listing. She acknowledged the referral; yet, I was never paid. Do not go with faith or trust... get it in writing. Update... When I tried to resolve it with the owner/broker, I was told no document was submitted by THEIR agent. (again, one wasn't requested of me... I went on the agents WORD) PS: in regard to owner's reply... referrals are ultimately done broker to broker... not outside of the office. I received no help from this broker.
