Suncoast Dental and Dr. Bob is the best dentist I have ever experienced. He sat down with me and listened to what I wanted, which is to have teeth that I'm not embarrassed about. And teeth that I can eat with. Sounds simple enough but the Dentist I went to several years ago with the same request showed me pictures of beautiful white straight perfect smiles and said this could be me. Then set me up with a treatment plan that cost over 25K. Said when you get approved for care credit we can start. Of course I couldn't get approved and I was heart broken. Feeling as though I was doomed to have broken front teeth and no back teeth. Dr. Bob was sympathetic to my needs and created a treatment plan that both fit my needs and my bank account. We start right away. Also must mention the excellence of the rest of the staff from the front office, to the Hygienist, to the Lab Tech who personally came in and assisted the Hygienist in taking molds for my dentures to make sure that my bite would be perfect. I can't wait to be able to talk and laugh in front of people and not be self conscious. Thank you Dr Bob and Staff.

I've been going to the Surprise Suncoast Dental office for the past 5 yrs. and I love it!!! Dr. Bob Balcar is great dentist: honest, competent, caring and he has a wonderful personality. The staff are all friendly, engaging and caring as well.
I was referred to Suncoast Dental by a coworker and was definitely not let down. Personally dentist appointments are my least favorite of all, but the staff and Dr. Bob made it so I don't absolutely dread going. I've been to both the location in Litchfield as well as to the one in surprise and although everyone at Surprise was kind I absolutely prefer the Litchfield location. I don't know that I've ever met a doctor quite as warm and caring as Dr. Bob and working in the medical field myself I've met quite a few doctors. Making an appointment is always very easy, it may be a bit costly(but really anything medically related usually is) however they made it a little easier for me to afford, and just the environment itself is enough to keep me grateful for having come across this office. I definitely recommend Dr. Bob for any dental work.
A great place for dental care; inexpensive, friendly service and I always am seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time. I had a billing issue and they immediately stepped up and took care of it. Awesome customer service. Definetly recommend!!
Never a wait. Great front office. Dr. Balcar is a great person who loves his job. I have been taking my 5 kids there for years and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.
As a sufferer of bad teeth my whole life, and slowly getting over half my teeth extracted, I checked in with this location to see about getting some newly broken teeth extracted The doctor ACTUALLY reviewed my images and saw something that not one other dentist has mentioned to me. I have extraordinarily deep roots on my teeth, my roots on my now former upper front teeth were basically part of my sinuses, we discussed options to make a routine, but potentially painful and hard extraction be less traumatizing. Until this very conversation I was convinced that dentists were just expensive sadists who liked to charge a few hundred bucks to make you as uncomfortable and pained as possible. Dr. Perna actually has a heart and a soul. We scheduled up for the extraction, per his suggestion I was sedated for the work, can’t tell you what his bed side manor is while he’s working on you, but my wife said he was really nice and very informative.
(TRAUMATIZED by Dr. Steven T Nguyen DDS) I went to them to get a consultation for a new cap on my front tooth. Dr. Steven T Nguyen DDS said that I needed to remove the tooth due to possible infection. My options were a bridge or an implant. I chose the implant. He removed the tooth and prepped for the implant. I have had a horrible experience. The stitches tore out the next day. The gum receded. The whole thing is a mess. Nguyen botched the whole thing. Now I have to find a periodontist to fix the problem and pay thousands extra to fix what he did to me. Plus, I have to find a new dentist to put the tooth in. What should have cost 1800.00 now will cost me 5000.00 or more, and I will never have my gum line back! That man has no business preforming implant surgery. I have suffered though the embarrassment of no front tooth, and the expense of trying to repair the horrible gum line. I look in the mirror and cry when I see what he has done. I can't afford the extensive surgery to fix the area AND replace the tooth. This is true horror. DON'T GO TO THAT DENTIST ON YOUR DYING BREATH.
