Good place to bring kids, loads of animals to see, and some food stands to take a break if you need to.

Very cute zoo in middle of Kaunas! Parking was available quite near the entrance, ice cream and other beverages on the way of the zoo trail. When sunny, mostly all animals could be seen ️

Time well spent with the kids (6 and 9 years old).

The zoo is not that bad, but in my opinion some cages were too small. I didn't feel good watching animals in small cages.

We had an amazing time over here at the zoo. It was not so crowded at the time we went. The zoo is located behind Kaunas University of Technology. The zoo is open from 9 am to 7 pm in summer and from 9 am to 5 pm in winters depending on the weather. The last time to buy the ticket and enter the zoo is 2 hours before the closure of the zoo. The zoo hosts a variety of species which live in the Arctic area. There are many types of cats, birds and there are African lions also. You can typically spend about 2-3 hours at the zoo. Have a good time when you visit.

The biggest and oldest zoo in Lithuania. It is over 80 year old. Some of animals lived there for a really long time. It is not too big but there is a lot of animals to be seen. Zoo is divided into two levels upper and lower. You can find different variety of animals there from predators of safari to wolfs from arctic. You can also find really rare animals like bison and etc. I spend there about 2-3 hours and saw most of the animals.
