Gorgeous! No bear cash, be prepared to get your gear in the trees. Very wet, gators, water proof clothes and tarp recommended.

Beautiful country in the area - lots of volcanic rock formations, high peaks and deep valleys. Snow-capped Dunn Peak itself can be seen clearly from Aberdeen in Kamloops - over 90km to the south!

A fun little area to explore. Dunn Peak was a fun climb. Lots and lots of bugs in the summer though.

Actually, all these pictures are from the Alpine Meadows Resort, a bit in the middle of nowhere, South of Clearwater. If you like it far from everything, internet included, and very natural (bears included), that's for you. It's definitely a view and the resort is nice. Be prepared for some off-road driving though. We had a SUV and the weather was sunny and very dry (July), so no problem with any off-road driving. I wouldn't suggest to take the shorter very off-road way to the small 1-car ferry when heading South (or driving North from South), it's rough and steep, especially the last bit. We were happy to avoid some further 40 km on an off-road road with that shortcut, but yeah, a short adventure.
