The Oakenhoof have been coming to the East Lancashire Railway for many years now to attend the Lancashire Day celebrations in November each year. It is great to see that the dancers and musicians are from all ages and made up of both male and female dancers. They have been a popular attraction every year at the ELR and I would encourage anyone to go and see them wherever they are performing.

A wonderful bunch of genuine people who enjoy bringing joy to others. I feel so lucky to have been part of Oakenhoof for 5 years and to see it grow as well as myself grow in confidence in the dance and music. We’ve got young uns to older folk, from accomplished young musicians to people like me who have returned to play music after 30 years and we are getting better and better. Started with clog dancing, we then started more music and now we have rapper, Morris dancing, celeidhs and a bit of everything else too..... and the odd drink along the way. Come and join this wonderful bunch of folk, you’ll love it!
