I bought a car from here in September last year. They told me that everything they sell is looked over with a fine tooth comb and the rac warranty would sort any problems I would come across. After three days of owning the car I had a oil leak, now i had to drive 50 miles back to the garage to have sorted. The rac wouldn't cover it. Gateacre had to pay. Then after 500 miles i broke down on the motorway, it turned out that the piston had melted in the bore and damaged it giving no compression. I asked for my money back and they refused. It cost me 2,860 to have a reconditioned engine fit. I asked gateacre to help pay and they ignored me. The rac warranty wouldn't help saying I needed to give more information on why it had happened. I would never recommend this garage or the rac!
