A lovely wild place. Good but smallish car park. Today a walking/holiday group arrived, 10 cars struggling to park, but that is unusual. No facilities here either, so think ahead. A circular route around the large fort ( or to the uninitiated, large stone piles) will take a couple of hours. Follow the Beacons Way for a couple of miles before turning back northward towards the car park. Great moorland habitat, cotton grass, eyebright etc so take your time to enjoy. The terrain is quite steep and uneven in parts but with beautiful views over the Towy Valley. Unspoilt Wales.
