I’m already moved my mother to Craig y Don and will move myself today. Why? Can never get through, book appointments, get the same doctor, actually get a doctor (always a nurse who is ‘as good as a doctor’ - not true or they’d be a doctor) and today got a stroppy girl who said I’d phoned the emergency line when I rang (following their answer phone instructions exactly) and put the phone down on me before I could explain. Then I tried again using their welsh line only to get the same response except this time was patronised on top of it. My mother has had great treatment at Craig y don and they couldn’t be nicer there.

After seeing some bad reviews I was considering looking else where to be seen to. Although due to wanting to be checked out as soon as possible I decided to ring up the penrhyn bay surgery in the morning to get an appointment to see the doctor. A small wait on the line to book the appointment (as expected), spoke to the lady on the phone who was very efficient and pleasant to speak with, and booked the appointment which was at 11:15, I was only sat waiting for 5 minutes before I was seen. The doctor (I can’t remember her name unfortunately) was fantastic, she listened to me sympathetically, was informative, and seen to my issue.

20.02.2019 - Popped into the surgery to ask about a fit note the receptionist was very helpful, she told me I would have to call in the morning to make an appointment with the doctor or the Advanced Nurse Practioner. Haven't be very successful in the past, in fact last time I called I was on the phone for about 10-15 mins to be eventually be told that all appointments were taken and one doctor was off sick not what you want to hear when you are not feeling well yourself. However, back to 21st I did get through and secured an appointment with the Advanced Nurse Practioner. Arriving at the doctors I registered and within 5 minutes I was seeing Holly who was brilliant, checked my pulse, listened to my chest, told me I had chest infection and laryngitis, got the doctor to sign the fit note, wrote out prescripton and I was sorted. I was more than happy with how I was treated so I thought I better write a review because when I read the others I was apprehensive about going there, no need they were all great. Did read interesting fact whilst there 80 appointments were missed last month, how can you miss an appointment if you can call to book one you can call to cancel it if you don't need it because if you don't I am sure someone else did.

Anyone thinking of registering at this survey I strongly advise you not to bother. My first appointment to register was with the nurse, she was 45 minutes late. I needed a B12 injection called 2 or 3 times a week for 3 weeks before they could give me an appointment. I am in the waiting room typing this message as I have got bored waiting for the nurse to see me again she is so far 30 minutes late and the waiting room has got hardly anyone in. What the hell is wrong with place? I'll be leaving very soon and will try the other doctors in Llandudno.

Very poor service from receptionist clearly very rude whilst speaking to her she put the phone down on whilst i was asking her a question , she has no professional manner and id like ti take his matter further as i suffer from mental health problems and i was asking for some advice , she clearly wasnt interested ,

Thankfully I haven't needed to see a doctor for a long time but when my mother needed help, the doctor came quickly on every occasion, regardless of time, day or night. I can't thank them enough.
