My favourite type of chips done here. Very nice fish too. Batter reminds me of sweet and sour chicken balls which makes sense as they serve Chinese food as well.

The chips are never cooked properly. They are basically just blanched instead of leaving them in the fryer just a bit longer for them to crisp up and be golden. Need to learn how to cook chips. They are ALWAYS under cooked and soggy. Would not go there again unless greatly improved . The previous owners were far more experienced and should have shown the new owners how to cook. Having had some chips from there this evening bought by a friend things have not changed. Chips still not cooked as they should be. Complete waste of money. Will never go there again. Absolute rubbish.

Very hit and miss. Food can be fantastic. But if they're not busy then beware as the don't seem to care what they dish out. Large chips and two jumbo sausages bought on a Sunday evening, and the chips were inedible. So greasy that they actually looked wet and most were raw or had large chunks that were raw inside. The Jumbo's were the only things that we could stomach. The food seems to be better the longer you have to wait. We only had to wait a few minutes and the food clearly showed it. They should pay the same amount of attention to the food regardless of the day and how busy they are as we have been returning customers for years and periods like this can really put you off going back. Not want you want after a long busy day and fancy something quick, easy and tasty. Update. Decided to take the chips back to show the shop how bad they were. lovely young lady behind counter gave me a refund immediately. Updated the score from 2stars to 3. If we decide to go back and food has improved. Score will change according.
