Odd review this one! Thanks to Tafarn Morlais for allowing myself and my colleagues the use of their outside seating area and car park for refreshments during the train derailment and fire which happened a short distance from here below Talyclun - much appreciated by some very tired and hungry Firefighters! Thanks too to the volunteers from the Rapid Relief Team (see photos) who regularly provide emergency refreshments at such incidents - a cuppa and a bacon butty means a lot when you have been working hard through the night. Well done! Hope to visit Tafarn Morlais under different circumstances soon and write a proper review!

We were looking for a decent pub in the area to take a couple of friends to, and had been past this pub several times in the past so thought we’d give it a try. We’re very pleased we did. It’s a lovely pub, good standard, friendly staff, and conforms well to Covid safety regs. It has a large well laid out beer garden which ensures social distancing. We didn’t eat here on this occasion, but from what we saw of other customers meals they looked very good. We will definitely come here again and would recommend it.
Called in to book a table for an evening meal. Unfortunately because of Covid rules no dogs are allowed inside the pub only outside. Weather was wet so had to decline. However, the owner provided us with undercover seating to enjoy a coffee & cake (dessert). Staff very friendly & accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Here until Friday so may try again if weather picks up.
Really good. Nice food, fantastic staff and best controlled environment for covid safety I've experienced. Thanks tavern for a good night before pubs shut.
Lovely staff, always welcoming. Great food at a good price. How they have adapted to Covid is excellent.
