Had a takeaway from Jade 2 on Sunday 17th Jan 21, first time I've been . Friendly service on pick up , and the food was very nice . Generous portions and tasty, reasonably priced. Cash only but there is a Barclays cashpoint in the square . Very pleased to have found this place and will be back .

THE WORST TAKEAWAY WE HAVE EVER HAD Ok its New Years Eve 2020. Like many others we fancied a Chinese and a Movie. Having bought from Jade 2 before we didn't expect a brilliant meal as food wise the place is just OK. I chose Szechuan prawns and my wife had King Prawn and Black Bean Sauce. I exaggerate not. My meal was so full of sugar it was almost inedible. My lips were sticking together with the greasy mess. The prawns honestly tasted as though they had been in a freezer for 5 years. They had a bitter taste and very hard texture. My wife's meal was almost worse. It was incredibly salty and we are not shy of a bit of salt. Her prawns were rock hard, horrible taste and just as salty. Both meals had to go to the recycle bin after just a few mouthfuls Now in defence of the staff they were very very busy and running about 15 minutes behind with a small queue of customers waiting outside in 0 degrees. They were nice people and very polite. I hope they read this review and do something about it as we are locals and very disappointed. Smudger
