Been going there for over 40 years. A wee alladins cave. Peter is always friendly and keen to help
Took my grandfathers watch from the 1930s to be fixed. Told them I wanted the appearance left as was, just a slight polish, but the mechanism working. Without consulting me they removed the old winder button, threw it away and replaced it with a brand new one. It's the wrong size, sticks out far too much and isn't the one my grandfather used to wind his watch through the war. When asked why I wasn't consulted I was given some excuse about rust. I would have never agreed to the change. I asked them to look for the button, which they advised would have been thrown I the bin. Really really poor service to do this to a special family item. Avoid using this business at all costs if you value your watch. I'll now have to trace a period winding button and have someone else fix it on.
