Via ferrata is cool but to get down you need to pay a lot for gondola. We choose to walk down and it’s reaaaally long way.

Stunning view and real challenge

Quite demanding. Comparing to Dolomites it would be 4 at 5-degree difficulty scale (speaking about easiest route there, because this v.f. has some harder and extreme variants)

Wow! What a trip! This was my first Via Ferrata, but to me this was truly amazing. The view is stunning, and the route was challenging and fun. There are several routes with different levels of difficulty. You start at Loen Active, there you need to rent equipment (and a guide if you need). Then there is a 50-60 minute walk to the starting point. We used 4 hours in total to the top including a few stops. After the hanging bridge there is a beautiful place to rest and eat lunch. When finished you can either take the skylift down (380kr) or walk down (about 60 minutes.

Overall a really enjoyable day. Fairly steep walk up to the start of the route, but with beautiful views to enjoy. Took our own equipment so did the via ferrata without a guide - I suspect guided trips may drive you up some (or most) of the walk in. We found the via ferrata itself a little bit repetitive with lots of long sections needing a reasonable amount of arm strength to pull up to the next section of wire. The ever increasing view down over the fjord was definitely the thing to make the effort worthwhile! The highlights were the bridges near the top, which are the main reason I'd recommend this via ferrata. Options from the top are to take a short ride on the gondola back down, or a walk through the forest. The forest walk is stunning, but makes for a long day overall. Gondola felt pricey for how quickly the journey was over, but by that point I was very glad of a lazy way down! Worthwhile for the bridges, but otherwise a long day unless you love via ferrata.

Uten spesiell trening eller forberedelse gjennomførte turen på en god måte. Vi hadde en flink guide som tok godt vare på alle og forklarte veldig bra. Er en tur med fantastisk utsikt. Du bør ikke ha høydeskrekk. Anbefaler turen

Fantastisk opplevelse.
