Dr. Larsen and staff were so kind, compassionate and professional. We would definitely drive the 5 hrs again to see him. This clinic went above and beyond to help my husband and future family. Thank you

We traveled to Utah from Oregon for Dr. Larsen to perform a vasectomy reversal on my husband. The vasectomy was only 10 months old at the time of reversal, and Dr. Larsen was extremely confident in the success of the procedure, which was performed in August of 2018. We have not gotten pregnant. We recently got an SA which shows very low count/motility, and the reversal is considered failed. I have called Dr. Larsen’s office several times trying to get information about what to do next, but apparently he offers no follow-up care, unless we drive 12 hours back to Utah to see him in person. His staff never mentioned that we would not get any after-care, and they knew we traveled a long distance. After having this experience, I’ve come across more information where I have learned that Dr. Larsen is not using up-to-date surgical techniques, and he may get a percentage of successful reversals, but from my experience, he has plenty of failures too. The only reason we got a reversal is because our baby was stillborn earlier in 2018. We were heartbroken and grieving. Now, we are even more heartbroken, and wasted 3000 travel expenses to have our hopes shattered.
Dr Larsen was kind, sincere, and very knowledgeable. He was great. Unfortunately we felt a complete lack of support or guidance from the staff and PA at the clinic. We were handed a brown bag with a prescription card and two sample tubes and the woman left the room without ANY instructions on sample collection, where to take the sample (took us 3 tries to find the correct lab in the requisite time for sample) We received no call about lab results. After 3 weeks we called in and spoke with the PA but didnt get enough information, looked like we will have to pay for a visit to get more information about what to do. 4 weeks later we called in to the clinic again to see what we needed to do to move forward, again left the conversation confused and frustrated. This may be the millionth time you have answered this question, but this is our first time asking it.
Vas Reversal: I'm writing this 12 month's post Vasectomy Reversal. Dr. Larsen and staff were very professional. He gave my husband a hug after and was very hopeful. The bad: Vasectomy Reversal 's are now preformed with a laser and not with magnify glass and stitching. Really wish I would have done my research. Dr Larsen to my knowledge and from watching the procedure does NOT use up to date technology we are not pregnant yet and feel it will not work out for us. Bummer and out 3k and no bundle of joy/ baby. This is not an easy journey to be on.
I recently went and had a kidney stone removed, and they were great! I really really loved their physicians assistant!! He, of course, is not the one who performed the surgery, but both my appointment before the surgery, and then when I had the stent removed were done by him, and he was just awesome, answered all my questions, made sure I knew exactly what was going on, and felt like he cared about how I was feeling and what I was going through. The staff was super sweet to work with also! Thank you guy so much!!!!
My husband had a vasectomy reversal last week performed by Dr. Ryan Larsen. We were more than impressed by his professionalism, experience, kindness, and quality of care. His staff was great! Very caring and efficient. I would recommend Dr. Larsen to anyone needing a procedure he's able to perform!
Ryan Larsen is absolutely amazing!!!! He reversed my husbands vasectomy on January 23rd 2015 and a year later to the exact day we welcomed our little boy!!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone!!!
