Really nice and helpful staff. We told them it was our first time here and the young waiter walked us through the ordering process. We ordered the popular "e" set with the pork pancake, shrimp tempura, salad and rice. It was fun watching as the older waiter worked his magic on the skillet. As we were finishing our meal, the older waiter offered us a cabbage cheese pancake. I can't for the life of me remember what he called it. It was nice getting this freebie. By this time, we were too full to order a dessert. I guess we'll have to come back next time. The parfait looked delicious.

This place is amazing! The waiters are so personable. My boyfriend and I have really become quite close with them. They know our orders by hearts and are never a disappointment! They deserve everyone's business!

Very cool concept. You have a grill and you can make your very own japanese okinomiyaki. Which is a sort of Japanese pancake. It can be overwhelming for beginners so they can offer to make it for you. I've been going here for some time and enjoying this. I get the modern mix style which has both seafood and meat inside. One of these days I will try to make it myself on the flat top grill. They also have flavored beer which is pretty interesting. Great for a date.

I went in for the All You Can Eat weeknight special for 18.99 per person. This is a good deal since a single dish costs the same, so if you end up getting just one each then you didn't lose money. Also note there is an extra charge if you don't eat most of the food. You can choose either okonomiyaki, monjayaki, or pasta/risotto/udon. There are 6-8 different varieties for each of these and they are all customer favorites. These dishes are huge. The monjayaki covers the entire hot plate! I'm a lazy bum so I always have them make it for me in the back but you have the option to make it yourself. The soda are cans so either stick to water or try one of their many fruit infused beers. yum. The first time you go it can be overwhelming. They hand you 3 over-sized menu books with a ridiculous amount of choices. Just look on the wall for the list of customer favorites and start from there. All the servers are wonderful people and super friendly.

Yum! I love okonomiyaki! The first time I ever had it was in Japan and I LOVED it! I usually make it at home, but it's not the same as cooking it on the teppan. The only other okonomiyaki place I know of is Gottsui, but they cook it for you. At Gaja, you get the choice of cooking it yourself (the best choice, obviously) or they can cook it for you in the kitchen and bring it out, or on the teppan in front of you. FOOD: - pork okonomiyaki set with curry rice bowl - with my bowl of okonomiyaki ingredients, I made 3 small ones! Had so much fun cooking it on the teppan and adding the sauce, kewpie, seaweed and katsuobushi. SERVICE: Friendly and helpful. The place wasn't crowded at noon on a Sunday. They kept checking on us to make sure we were okay cooking our pancakes haha VENUE/PARKING: Rather spacious for a Japanese restaurant. Bathrooms are clean and single stall per gender. Attached parking lot that's actually really difficult to make a left into lol.

I would NOT recommended to order okonomiyaki or monja here. I come here for their Japanese parfait. Love Love parfait _. I tried okonomiyaki and it wasn't very good, monja was nothing like monja you eat in Japan. Me and my friend were talking each other, why our server making our monja in wrong way? He probably doesn't know how it should be.

The store is closed (as seen on 12/30/2015) I really miss their Okonomiyaki and various choice of desserts.
