Easy access and good parking availability. A really good selection of costumes, but not much in larger sizes. Staff are not that helpful - i asked where something was and was told it had sold out - but then i found it on a display.

My wife and I hired costumes for a fancy dress dinner. The staff could not have been helpful and enthusiastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we ended up with perfectly fitting and splendidly appointed costumes. First rate range and exemplary service.

I was really impressed until I went there. I wanted a 70s or 80s costume. Surely that's not so outrageous an ask for such a big, well stocked shop? I was told simply, no. While I was there a lady came in with her young son looking for a star wars mask. She was told: No. And even if we did have it you'd have to buy the whole outfit. Surprised and disappointed.

A fascinating place to visit and well worth the long tube journey and walk. The guided tour covered this family run costume making and hiring company for TV, film and theatre with a long and rich history, so well. The workshops, huge costume storage and prop departments made me see the realities behind illusions of the costumes we see.

It's a great shop. Downstairs has packets of costumes to buy. These are about 25 to 50 but note the instructions say not to wash them or even dry clean! Upstairs has costumes to hire. They have an extensive selection of historical and other costumes. They look to be good quality but you have to hire them for at least a week. The costumes including accessories that I was looking at were about 90 to 110 to hire for a week, although the assistant said it was possible to negotiate if you only wanted part of a costume.
