Poor service. Budget rented a car with a dent in the door. I showed the agent at pick-up, who said he'd update the car booking / contract. He didn't, and upon returning the car, I was charged 500 for a damaged door! Terrible. Make sure you check the car thoroughly and have any previous damage in the contract! If possible, do not use Avis Budget.

Absolute headache with Avis. 99% of the time, Avis would mess up something with no apology nor empathy. Rented a car, they processed the deposit 5 times. When I reported it, and sent screenshots as proofs, they didn't have the decency to apologise; simply telling it's only a deposit and I'd have it back. Meanwhile, up to 1000 of my money was withheld/reserved for 7 days.

Convenient inside terminal 5, forth for car park. Not signed very clearly though. Go to lift at far right of arrivals and go up to 4th floor.

Not great, closing permanently on Friday and laying off staff which means getting a shuttle bus over to their main hire centre. The guy who drove the bus over was very pleasant to talk to even though he was getting laid off. Unfortunately the rest of the guys in the main hub were not very good. Guy at the desk pointed me in the direction of the car and told me there was no damage and that the tank was full. Both statements turned out to be false!! When I got to the barrier, the guy checking the paperwork expected me to point out where the damage was. I don't know if this is why Avis are laying people off, by expecting a paying customer to snag their vehicles on behalf of their employees!! Don't know if the other rental companies are much better but Avis (in the UK) rank near the bottom for me!!

My favourite place to rent Avis cars. It’s rare to find such a good rental place. The staff are usually helpful and have a good choice of cars. Set a record of pick up, took about 1 min total. Keep up the good work! Value your customers especially your president’s club ones.
