Budd London Reviews | Rating 4.1 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Budd London is located in London, United Kingdom on 3 Piccadilly Arcade, St. James's. Budd London is rated 4.1 out of 5 in the category men's clothing store in United Kingdom. Budd has been located in the Piccadilly Arcade since the company’s inception in 1910 and forms part of the elegant thoroughfare of shops that leads into Jermyn Street. Like all of the traditional arcade boutiques in St James', the shop is tiny, but its size belies the wealth of goodies that can be found inside. Budd is a veritable Pandora’s box! Our prime offering is shirts. We make all of our shirts by hand at our workshop here in England. We are also one of the few remaining West End shirtmakers to still have its own cutting room on the premises. This is located above the shop and has presided over the Arcade for over 60 years. As well as shirts, Budd carries an extensive range of dresswear, nightwear, a fantastic selection of ties and bow ties, braces, socks, and many more accessories. We are passionate in celebrating and supporting British craft and workmanship and all of our product is sourced here in the UK. We are particularly proud of stocking many menswear items that are tricky to find today, such as waistcoat slips, stiff bibbed shirts, detachable collars and the softest chamois gloves. If you can’t see what you are looking for on the shop floor, just ask one of our staff for assistance. Limited space in the shop itself means that much of our stock is hidden out of sight but can be readily produced by a trip down to our stock room or into one of our cupboards.

Very poor service from my first experience purchasing a ready to wear shirt. This was really an experimental purchase with possibly a view to a bespoke order in the future. I'm glad I didn't go the bespoke route first off! Nothing received after 2 weeks from placing the order. Ignored emails requesting information on delivery of the order. Had to resort to raising a case with my credit card company. They sent the order fairly sharply after that. No apology or explanation. The shirt is reasonable quality for a rtw shirt but no better than others I have from other manufacturers who sell in high street department stores. I like to support British makers and have many times purchased clothing, shoes and boots from the various traditional British companies. I would be reluctant to purchase from Budd again. I don't mind waiting for an order but lack of any communication is unacceptable.

Fantastic service and quality when I bought my first shirt from them last year.

Three immaculate shirts made for me by Budd. Wonderful service. Very difficult for me to buy off the peg shirts as they never fit properly. Budd shirts are beautifully made and last. They are also stylish and I like their very own collar designs. Definitely recommend. You can't beat a hand made bespoke shirt from Budd.

It's a shame, Budd /seems/ to be /the/ shirtmaker, but this company ignores e-mail and wastes your time. I bespoke my sample shirt (the first of four) in the shop and sent some second thoughts and questions by e-mail a few days later; no reply. Tried again; no reply. Three months and a half later I got an e-mail saying my shirt was ready. When I responded, referring to my ignored messages, and asking why the shirt had not at least been put on hold, until they had answered my questions and received my final confirmation of the style choices in question, I, once again, received no reply.
