The classes are insightful and lots of fun, Coach Martin has cultivated a wonderful atmosphere and culture at the club, which made it very welcoming to an absolute beginner such as myself. The group has been particularly helpful and patient helping me find my feet. I have already recommended the group to my family and friends, particularly other women as I've already found it massively empowering and the vibe is so unintimidating and open. I look forward to continuing to train there in the future. P.S. It's so much better than bloody yoga.

Carson Grace Clapham BJJ is outstanding club for new people to join the BJJ community. I found Martin to be very welcoming and really takes the time to check in on how you are doing. I also find the more experienced members of the club really friendly and willing to help you learn. Time table is great for people who work days as its mainly evening sessions and Saturday morning. Its also great value for London as well.

I started training with Martin at the turn of 2019, and can honestly say I've enjoyed every moment. Martin's done a fantastic job of cultivating an incredible community of friendly, likeminded individuals, by creating and maintaining a thoroughly enjoyable, and extremely engaging class timetable. There's no pressure for those who attend to compete - the classes suit all abilities, from those who want to get fitter, right through to those who want to compete. If there's even a small part of you that's curious about the sport, this is the best place to give it a try, so I'd definitely urge you to do so - the people are friendly and the coaching is great, the music selection just tops it off.

Visited this gym during my stay in London. Visited a bunch more, but enjoyed this one the most! Great atmosphere, Martin is a very friendly instructor who explains the techniques well. If you're looking for a bjj gym with a nice friendly vibe but with some proper rolls, this one is definitely a must visit! I highly recommend this gym!

Joining Carlson Gracie Clapham has been the best decision I've made in years. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful and that comes from the example set by Martin. You're made to feel comfortable and fit in immediately. I can't recommend it enough
