Absolutely wonderful place. The actual museum itself is incredibly informative about the great stink and- well I shouldn't spoil too much. The helmets they provide you with to enter an area with construction is very carefully cleaned and sanitizing stations are provided at the places they need to be there. The volunteers are more than polite and friendly, and thanks to them I now have my own little plant (you'll see how if you get here in the next few days.) The only reason I deducted a star is because of teh location of the spot, slightly hard to find, however It did exceed my expectations and I feel informed of the sewage systems... despite how odd that sounds. Thank you to all the Crossness Pumping Station's team!

Absolutely, beautiful and amazing piece of Victorian engineering. The staff and volunteers made the whole experience memorable. Super friendly and knowledgeable. The kids loved the train

Really, really worth a visit! Especially on a 'steaming' day when the restored Prince Albert beam engine is in operation. Victorian architecture wonderful, engineering wonderful, exhibition excellent. All done by volunteers. I loved it, grandkids (12 & 10) loved it. Go and support. The second beam engine is in mid-restoration

Thoroughly enjoyable morning, even with Covid restrictions. It’s awe inspiring to see the engine in action. Wonderful to meet and talk with the enthusiasts who keep the place running, and the knowledge they have. And got to go on the little railway too

A hidden gem run and restored by volunteers. Well worth a visit on an open day, especially if the pumps are in action.
