Excellent Service. Friendly knowledgeable waitress with a good sense of humour, and a very helpful, attentive barman. The food was great. Especially liked the lamb main. Ill be going back just for that alone! Liked the decor and the ambience of the place - albeit quite understandably quiet at present.

Great food and service. We really enjoyed everything including the sourdough bread as well as the butter which was actually a highlight. I recommend the pork cheek, fig dessert and jalapeño margarita... a must!

Gotta be honest. Not having a single veggie main on your menu in 2020 is poor. The one thing they did was make a veggie starter twice the size, but it didn't even taste great. Pretty glad I ordered some side salad and chips. The only reason for even giving 2 stars is that the service was great, the venue was nice and the wine went down easily. If you eat meat or seafood I'm sure this place is great. If you're a veggie, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

The menu was amazing, a balance of very traditional and modern takes on dishes. The atmosphere and open kitchen is really nice. The service was really good even on a busy night and especially the maitre d' was excellent. They had run out of a few things so as a result we were given two extra deserts for free. Good selection of whisky and cocktails and a good bar downstairs. 10/10

Quality ingredients treated with respect. Hospitality in spades. Raw bar and a wood-burning oven. Small plates plus mains with three types of British oysters, mussels, cockles and clams. Lamb chops, grilled whole mackerel. All expertly prepared. Excellent ales and wines. Very knowledgeable servers. What a treat to not get the same, tired old ‘British Menu’. Worth every penny and then some. See pics for course descriptions.
