Perfunctory customer service provided, ill mannered and charged more than advertised on their website, when queried, they were dismissive and attempted to justify their actions with a recorded telephone conversation that didn’t back them up at all. We visited our mother the day before the burial, I provided written instructions on how her hair should be brushed and provided a few items to be placed with her. When we got there, her hair looked unbrushed, no make up (I’d even advised what shade of lipstick they should use), and I had to remind someone about the items to be placed with her. Overall, it looked like no effort was made to make her look as beautiful as she was in life, They also misspelt my mother’s name on the plaque, we called them soon after the burial they said next time they were in the area they would replace it, 7-8 months went by and nothing was done (we made allowances during lockdown), we called them again and they said they sent it the new plaque in the post for us to fit, 2 weeks later we called them again and we got it the next day. No personal touch whatsoever and not what you need at a time like that.

My family and I would like to thank everyone at Demetriou and English for their excellent service for my mum's funeral. Their manner was very professional. From the first appointment they were caring, patient, kind and did not make me feel that this was just another funeral. They were empathetic for my loss, allowing me time to discuss what was needed to be done. There was no pressure to purchase anything I didn't want or need and everything was explained, which made me feel less stressful and a little easier to bear losing my mum. On the day of the funeral without Demetriou and English's help, knowledge and support, my family and I would have fallen apart, instead it was a day full of memories, tears, laughter and love. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I was so impressed with how sympathetic, helpful, polite and professional the staff were. At a time when we were grieving very deeply, having such lovely directors certainly soothed some of the pain. All the time I spent worrying about whether everything would go well was totally wasted, as I needn't have worried about a single thing. The funeral went very smoothly from start to finish, and everything was done so well. Thank you very much for such a wonderful service - I know my dad would have loved it.
