Something is wrong with this Court. Neither the court is responding to emails nor the Judge for last 7 months. Filed complaints but they are useless. Dont know how to get my order copy from court that is pending for 8 months. Beware this court is full of cowboys. Specially Judges have no understanding of family law. They are there for their salary and have no public interest. Your child's well being is of no concern to them. The court staff is equally disgraceful. My advice is best sort your problems without stepping into court.

Wish I could give a glowing report but like everyone else my experience has been dismal. I had a court hearing scheduled at the East London Family court but due to Covid-19 it was moved to a different location...they didn't tell me this! Thankfully my solicitor was able to get a response via email from them after calling 39 times! I managed to get an order in my favour but desperately need the accompanying paperwork, I've sent emails daily which are never responded to and tried calling but never get an answer or get a recorded message stating that they're busy. I have just 10 days till my deadline and I'm quite worried about how things will progress without my paperwork. I once got connected to another caller who was enquiring about her case! We managed to find the humour in it all but the service is shockingly bad. Just a suggestion but a message on their website or telephone line to put the public at ease and/or a note to say how long it will take to respond to emails (and sticking to it) would be helpful. I'm sincerely hoping I never have to deal with them again.

I have been trying to reach somebody from East London Family Court regarding my case for more than 2 weeks now but unfortunately the phone number provided on the site is with 2 options which are going straight to an answer with a suggestion to call later then the call cuts straight away. The email provided looks like a dead end too, I have sent numerous emails but the only thing I received back is the automated response. We do understand the extreme situation we are all under and everybody is doing their best but it would be nice to have a customer service for information or anything like that. Thanks in advance and be safe.

DISGUSTING!! The service from this court is absolutely atrocious! I have had a case going on for almost a year now!! It is a simple case. Nothing complex at all. I have been waiting since March for a hearing date, i finally got one which was this month. They told me because of the situation it will be handled over the phone. Guess what. No one called! I had been waiting by my phone for over 7 hours in the hope that someone would call. Nothing, no voicemail, no email, no messages to say either A. we had to cancel , B. something has changed, or even C, apology for keeping me waiting without any reason why. I have emailed them countless of times, this is unreal, you can not simply make an appointment for a hearing, then have no one call you or tell you what is going on. I am completely in the dark now with ZERO updates. I can't believe a court like this can even function.

My case has been referred here and ive taken a quick peek at the reviews.. it doesn’t look good . I just tried to call them and yes , you only have two options and the second one said “ all our operator’s are busy , call back later “ and cut off . I dont understand why those put in charge of these places don’t understand that people calling in like myself need to know simple court information. Help people . A simple email or operator on the other side can do so much by answering and giving vital information parents and carers seek ie court date and times... honestly they make it harder then it is. Joke ! Absolute joke . Update: Ive been calling for the past 3 hours now and their still “busy” Ive been calling for almost 3 weeks now and no answer . They are still “busy”. No one has called or updated me on anything . One month on after them cancelling and referring my court appointment and still nothing , i cant contact them and they haven’t me. Im just left in the dark waiting for when their ready . 2 months now and nothing . They wont answer my calls or emails and theres nothing else i can do . 4 1/2 years my ex hasnt let me see my boy and my “last hope” ie the courts are pissing around . Great. Im literally spending a hour everyday now calling and emailing them . Everyday. After calling a million times and waiting for 2 months after my court date , ive been told theres no date set for me . Asked when i would get one , they said they Dont know and that i should wait for them . Could be now or 6 months away , who knows . Never thought it would be this hard or long just to have access to my child on the weekend . I bet it would have been different if my ex wife applied .

I traveled from abroad because I had a hearing.... I came there and they told me that its not in person rather over the phone. I was shocked why nobody bothered to tell me this. So, I waited for the phone call from the Court, guess what... nobody even bothered to call me. I am really disappointed with such case handling. Its very unprofessional and reading all these bad reviews here makes me worried how this is going to progress now :(
