Excellent guide who really knew her stuff when it come to Emery Walker and the history surrounding him. Amazing that the place survived so untouched. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in the arts and crafts movement and the players in it.

I thoroughly recommend this house museum to visit for it's great social and artistic history, furniture and furnishings, photographs and ambience. Do go and then afterwards have a lovely walk along the Thames to one of the pubs close by for a drink and/or a meal.
Little, fascinating old house. Very competent guides. Excellent location - there's a wonderful path along the river passing by. A bit pricey for what you get.
A total joy – so much to see and take in in this treasure trove of a mid-18c tall terraced house: fascinating story of the life of someone I should have known about, but hadn't realised linked in with so many key creative figures of the late-19c Arts and Crafts world. Charming, enthusiastic and hugely well-informed guide made it all come alive. Glorious autumn sunshine and views of the river were bonuses in a delightful experience.
Step back in time to the Art's and Crafts era. The world of William Morris and Emery Walker awaits your perusal. Lovely house on The River Thames and Chiswick Mall. In close proximity to a plethora of lovely riverside pubs, Upper Mall Open Space, St Peter's Church, St Nicholas Church, Chiswick House and Grounds and Hogarth House. Nearest tube station is Stamford Brook. And nearest overground is Chiswick
