We called GR Smith Vacuums for what appeared to be a simple clog in the central vac system. Jim was able to find time the very next day to fix the system. There ended up being bigger issues with piping and electrical but he made sure everything was fixed and working properly before leaving. Great service and would highly recommend.

My vacuum cleaner finally bit the dust. Came here and asked what vacuum would be best as I have no carpet, just hardwood & ceramic tiles. The gentleman went through a few options. I walked out with a German made Miele. An excellent vacuum and works as advertised. Very happy with my purchase and the advice. Excellent!!!!!
Terrific vac shop! Jim & Rhonda are wonderful, honest people. I have bought various parts from them for the vacuums I own, and each time got exactly what I need at reasonable prices. In addition, they have parts for older vacuums....back years ago, Jim came to the rescue & had a bottom plate for a Hoover upright that was long obsolete & discontinued. He literally saved that vacuum from seeing a garbage dump! Give these people some business....they're good, nonest, hardworking people who go out of their way to help you.
Wanted to give an overdue shout out to the good people at G&R vacuums who serviced my Bissell Pro Heat 2X Revolution (the purple carpet cleaner, purchased July 2019) in October 2020. There’s a good backstory here: I first took my vacuum to McHardy Vacuum on Dundas in August because both beater bars were not spinning but the motor was running. The rep took the vacuum to the back room and emerged 5 minutes later and said it’ll be 90 to repair and it’s not covered under the 5-yr warranty. I was shocked because I didn’t believe that the tech actually took the vacuum apart to investigate the issue. In fact the tech did not. The rep informed me that the tech could tell by listening that the issue was a common problem with the model and was not serviceable under the warranty. I disagreed with their “assessment” and took the vacuum to G&R in October 2020. They investigated the issue and completed the valid repair under warranty in a timely manner and the vacuum works great! Highly recommend G&R.
A fine establishment run by a knowledgeable couple who know their stuff when it comes to vacuums. They will not try to upsell you or mislead you once you explain what you need and are looking for. Trustworthy and been operating for many years. I have been pleased with their service everytime I have needed it.
