If you're finding it hard to decide which Chinese restaurants to eat in given the plethora of options in Chinatown, then you're not alone. But I can confirm that Golden Phoenix it's a verified good choice. Bigger then it looks outside, traditional Chinese decor inside, and a busy atmosphere, it's everything you want in a Chinese restaurant. The Dim Sum was excellent, and didn't blow a hole in my savings. Between my group of 3, we ordered 12 different dim sums and it was perfect. It's menu is extensive, spread over 2 floors, and service is quick despite the lunch time rush hour on a Saturday afternoon. It's hard to choose the good from the bad when faced with so many options, but Golden Phoenix is a verified good one in London's Chinatown.

Golden Phoenix is one of the most authentic dim sum restaurants you’ll probably get in London. The food is excellent and resembles the closest to Hong Kong. I would recommend the deep fried custard boas, they are delicious. The staff were super friendly, engaging and nice. The atmosphere was typical to any dim sum houses you’d find back in Hong Kong. The interior is really nice with the staircase at the centre of the restaurant.

I didn’t try dim sum as I am not a fun. However other Chinese food here is really good. The price is similar to most Chinese restaurants in China town. And the environment is not bad. As I came here on the most hot days in London. I have to say this restaurant did turn there air conditioner on and give you a quite comfortable place for lunch or dinner.

Authentic dim sum at very reasonable prices! Bring back hometown memory. I wonder why the rating is so low, maybe because of the service? Anyways excellent service is not important to me but the taste is.

The more people at the table to share the Dim Sum with the better the experience (and cheaper the bill)! I came here for late Dim Sum lunch with a group of 10 people. They have some impressive vegetarian dishes. Spacious restaurant with multiple floors. Service could benefit from improvement: I was waiting for a glass of water for over 20 minutes, even though I’ve asked a few waters for it.
