Habito was one the only bright spots in an otherwise painful process of purchasing my property. A very convenient service which found me a good mortgage deal, combined with responsive, professional and friendly customer service. The live chat functions is a really useful way of asking questions and staying in touch.

Old fashion phone sales with a budget.... Don't waste your time. There's not much to see here. After you send your details expect a hard sell email and phone agent strategy.

Have a mortgage broker we used on our first house purchase. We are coming up to the end of our initial deal hence started to Google remortgage deals to get an idea of what to expect. Came across Habito and remembered their weird ad so thought I'd give them a go. Although they were easy and quick to deal with (with a few options within a few hours) the offers were ridiculously high, higher in fact than the rate after our initial fixed rate. When I said these deals are no good and we'd be better off staying with our current mortgage hence won't be taking any of these deals, they replied saying this is the best deal they can find with their panel of lenders. I thought that was the end of that. However, after a day or so, Habito messaged me again asking whether I had made a decision on which offer I wanted to go for. Again I told them none and that our current mortgage broker was able to find us a much better deal and we will not be going ahead with a remortgage through Habito they just kept persisting. I don't think Habito are as good as they make out. They took one look at our report, clicked a button on they're system and came back with a number. They didn't discuss any other options, such as whether we had any extra savings to put towards reducing the LTV hence very impersonal approach to customer service.

Took 4 months to move an already agreed mortgage offer to another property, they passed on wrong mortgage product to mortgage provider and when we finally did get the mortgage moved over they sent the offer to the wrong solicitor- 3 times! GDPR issue. Mortgage provider have been very helpful and have said exactly what Habito need to do to correct their error and move us on to the right product. However, 6 weeks after my complaint Habito have not responded to my complaint or actioned what they need to do to correct the product I am on.

We got our first mortgage and re-mortgaged with Habito recently. They were very informative and patient with us as first time buyers. I still have the keyring they gave me commissioned by an artist
