My friend was a resident for 2 1/2 years. She went there straight from hospital, it seemed ok on the initial visit. During the time she was there they had a number of managers, the care home ran on mainly agency staff, and sadly her health deteriorated whilst she was there, the care was very poor quality. One day she managed to leave the care home on her own using her zimmer frame, and take a bus to Putney, have a fall in the High Street and was luckily picked up by a Para-medic, who took her to her old home. She eventually took her back to the care home who had no record of who had returned her to the home! She also had a fall in the night, and afterwards was left in bed for most of the time with the bed rails up. As a result she subsequently has lost the use of her legs. Despite repeated complaints to the Manager during the time she stayed there, things did not improve, and I decided to move her to another home. Homes I had her name down on a waiting list for a place, were unable to take her as she had deteriorated so much whilst at Heathland Court. Staff members said to me \I would not put my family member in this care home\ which I found shocking. I cannot recommend this care home, do your relative/friend a favour and place them elsewhere.

My Mother was there for three weeks before she passed away and the staff couldn't do enough to make her comfortable, a great place with caring staff.
