My mother recently passed away from Covid 19 having been transferred from this care centre to St George's Hospital. Whilst crying and telling a member of staff on the phone that my mother had died in the hospital - my sister was told 'but you knew your mother was ill' in a cold and uncaring manner. Whilst sadly death may be a common occurrence amongst the elderly. Compassion is still free. The facade of friendliness is indeed just that. Be mindful about sending your loved one to this place. Not quite what it seems.

Please don't let any of your loved ones stay here. You'll regret it. My father stayed here and within one week he died. He got a mouth infection within days as they didn't do any of the cleaning. When the head nurse found out she falsified the rota. He was often left laying there in his own sweat and with covered and dirty bed sheets. They only thought to change the sheets when we pointed it out. Horrible place. Worst of all, rather than monitor his needs and respond to them, they just drugged him so he was unconscious for most of the day. Criminal proceedings should be brought against this immoral and repulsive place.

The smart facade, and elegant dining room, hide a cold and uncaring 'care' home, do not be taken in, it's all just a front. Once there your loved one is not looked after well, and is nothing more than a nuisance. My father went into this facility, when regretfully we thought it was clean and well presented and the 'sale' from the staff seemed friendly. The real working staff, still smiled at us when we visited. But within days our poor father who although terminally ill was still sharp mentally, was begging to be taken out; behind closed doors he was not getting the friendly hellos and welcome smiles we were, I walked in early one morning to find a pill sitting on my fathers tongue, slowly dissolving, they hadn't even bothered to help him try to swallow it, had he moved, the pill could have fallen back and he could have choked. I only wish we'd had time to move him before he passed away, unfortunately we didn't. Please don't send a loved one to this facility. I've only given this one star because otherwise I couldn't post my comments; it should have been none.
