I rented a flat in Brixton with Keating Estates for nearly two years. Unfortunately they are hugely biased towards the interests of their landlords rather than their tenants. The cleaning company that they use and recommend - La Cascada Ltd - tried to charge us 225 for an end of tenancy clean for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house. We went for a self-employer professional cleaner instead at a cost of 95. Since leaving the property, Keating are now trying to charge us 200 for 'further professional cleaning' - we are now in a dispute with them through the government deposit service but I would recommend avoiding Keating unless you want to be severely overcharged. They also used La Cascada Ltd for our professional clean prior to moving into the property, but we found nails and dirt all around the house - the cleaning company eventually came back 3 weeks later but we had to hound Keating for this. AVOID. Edit: Since I posted this review, mydeposits (the independent deposits company) have returned 160 of the extortionate charges that Keating Estates placed on us. Do not accept their charges and their exorbitant quotations. We are now in another dispute with them as we discovered that their Head of Property Management - who dealt with our deposit case - provided a quotation from her dad (who is apparently a contractor, yet they completely failed to mention this or the huge conflict of interest). We are taking our case to the Property Ombudsman and we would urge all tenants to avoid Keating Estates where possible. They are quite frankly an unprofessional and untruthful chain of estate agents.
