Recently instructed to do a full structural survey. Survey came in two days late and contained basic errors to the point where I have no faith in the report. Poor customer service having constantly to chase and no admission of wrong doing on their part. Strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere and consider a more professional and diligent service.

Wish I had read the reviews before instructing them. I made a list of things I had noticed during the walk through. I was told this would be passed to the surveyor to check while there. Upon getting the report no mention was made of these things. I called to enquire about it and was told by the surveyor that the things had been checked and were fine. This was clearly nonsense as the issues I raised are apparent and requiring immediate attention upon us moving in. On top of that the survey was 3 days late requiring lots of chasing and when we asked that amendments be made to the report to account for the clear damages we had spotted we were told yes but then no further report was sent despite lots of chasing. The report also contained lots of errors similar to another reviewer i.e. claiming no alarms and no ventilation fans when there clearly are. Listing two fireplaces when there was only one. Big things missed like leaking gutters...we may find more as we get settled in. The report was clearly a cut and paste job done in haste with no care and attention. Don't waste your money.

I cannot understand any positive reviews of this company. I think they have to be friends and family. We paid for a survey a year ago and have since found issue after issue with the survey. None massive, just loads of things that absolutely should have been picked up and would have been really helpful. Rotten windowsills, doors not fitting properly, damp in a wall that was pretty clear with a detailed look. A disconnected radiator with leak. Why it was disconnected was never asked by the surveyor. The building was said to be built in the 1990s, but later cross referencing we found this is way out. Not even a sensible guess once we were actually looking into it. It was transferred from a single house to a flat in the 80's for example. This is clearly in the documents. This was a complete waste of money and really shoddy work. Seriously avoid them. I have no vested interest, just utterly unimpressed.

A few days after entering the house, it became obvious that the report produced by Lamar was worth absolutely nothing. Most of was overlooked/innacurate/untrue; They claimed that the roof was in good condition while it needs to be entirely replaced and it's obvious even to the uneducated eye, did not say a single thing about the massive damp issues around the bay windows, they claimed that there was no smoke detectors while there was... They likely spent about 2 minutes in the house and the report focused on superficial, obvious aspects, absolutely useless. On top of this, they have been ignoring questions I emailed after receiving the report, I took a lot of chasing and all I got back is a condescending response.

Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful customer service. Very unflexible on dates and times. Also, was told the survey on a 2 bed flat would only take 10-30 mins when everyone else I spoke with said at least 90 mins. I didn't go with them in the end and the other companies I spoke with were far more helpful and flexible.
