Hesitant ‘Arts and Crafts Movement’ compound (add a touch of Art Nouveau), turn-of-the-Century former educational ‘Settlement’ named after long forgotten Victorian authoress and philanthropist. Repurposed as a suite of rooms, halls and spaces for hosting events, seminars, conferences and workshops etc. Retains significant original period fabric and some furnishings.

In my opinion, the management of this building is the least professional I have ever encountered.
A great place for a conference folks
Delighted with the experience this year, and very positive feedback from delegates on a practical pyschotherapy training.weekend. Aimilia, Krity and their team couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating and helpful. The building does have its idiosyncracies (temperature control downstairs, echoey acoustics), but it's lovingly maintained and managed, and once we settled in, our group felt very at home and welcome. Coming back for more in a year's time.
An old building, so has some accessibility problems for those who are disabled or who have extra support needs. However, once in the rooms are will equipt with what appeared to be high quality, well set up, audio and visual equipment.
