Been to london many times but never took an open top bus tour to see the sights. It didn't seem worthwhile at the high prices other tours charge so when saw one of these buses driving around I went on the website and booked for the next day. Paid 5 1 booking fee for a 10am tour, but there was cheaper later in the day. The commentary is pre recorded but it matched up with what we were seeing from the top deck. Departs from three central points and there were staff on hand to board you before handing over to the driver. One small comment - not sure the commentary at westminster is right to say there are 3 main parties in the UK - Conservative, Labour and Lib Dems - the SNP have more MPs (and members) than the latter!
Good value for money. You can get cheaper by booking well in advanced but we booked for next day at 28 for 4 people. Sat on top deck, kids had front seats while we chilled out further back. Some good info from the bus tour and great views around the city. No stops which suited us for a nice sit down. The tour was suppose to last 1hr 50mins but I think ours lasted 1hr 30mins as there were protests going on in the city so our route was diverted and cut short. But still overall happy with this service.
You can't fault a tour for 1 booking fee. Comparable tours cost 15 times as much at least. OK it is a recorded commentary and you can't hop on or off but you see exactly the same places as on the more expensive tours. Only thing that surprised me was that it wasn't more busy. Deserves your custom!
For the price Megabus sightseeing is must specially if you have elders who do not want to walk too long but enjoy the sights of London at comfort of the bus - fantastic experience!!
