We are an RIBA Chartered practice with Studios in East London and Liverpool. Mors+Harte Architects was co-founded by James Mors and Caroline Harte. They both studied together at ‘The University of Liverpool’ and ‘University of Westminster’ and also spent some of their profession experience at the same practice. They realised that their design style and passion for Architecture and construction complemented each other well and that they wanted to provide a bespoke Architectural service for both private and commercial clients. The practice enjoys creating unique concepts to maximise the development potential of a site, often creating schemes that would not have otherwise been considered. Our understanding of construction and how materials come together allow us to create highly detail drawing packages that are clear and concise, allowing contractors clear instruction on how to execute our vision. We believe our passion for Architecture comes through the delivery of our design process and service at every stage of a project, creating well considered, bespoke architectural designs.

A great Architectural service, Caroline and James were fantastic to deal with, this included the design concept, planning, tendering of the building contractors, site meetings and the project management of the construction of our home. One of the requirements that we had when we engaged with Mors Harte was that our home was to be designed in keeping with the green belt area that we live in and needed to fit into the environment tastefully, which I believe they achieved very successfully. They took the time to consult with us our requirements as a family and were able to interpret our ideas along with their knowledge and creativity and transfer it to paper which made it a reality for us. This included the interior and lighting design, exterior and interior of the cottage extension which brought life back into our home. Restoring and refurbishing the old features and introducing the new modern extension while always making sure the quality of work was executed to its best and no short cuts taken. We are so happy in our house, they are so approachable, we couldn’t recommended these architects highly enough.

We appointed morsharte architects to improve the natural light entering our home.and its connection to the rear garden. James and Caroline proposed clever ideas to make our new living areas unique and practical for the way we live. They designed everything including the design of my kitchen. I have a fantastic open plan kitchen, living, dining room that connects to the garden by a raised patio area. James and Caroline proposed steel doors to the rear, which allow a lot of natural light in, whilst also complementing the traditional style of the existing house. Our property is in Conservation area therefore it was important to us to ensure we appointed an architect with experience and a good track record with the council. Our application was approved first time with no issues. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and easy to talk to. I would certainly recommend this practice to anyone needing an Architect for their project.

We have been working with Caroline from MorsHarte Architects to fully renovate an old Post Office into out home. I found Caroline brilliant to deal with and we are still working on the refurbishment so she's a great sounding board also. I loved the innovative plans down to the lighting design that they have created and it really helps us to envisage our home. Also every design idea we had was taken on board. As we are doing alot of the work ourselves it will be a long road but having the clear design plans in place helps us to see a light at the end of the tunnel. It also means that I have been able to start expanding on the interior design as the plans have given me a very clear outline of our home. We look forward to finishing the project and having them over to celebrate with us

Caroline designed our kitchen extension in Forest Gate. We had already had one bad experience with another architect, and although had a rough idea of what we wanted, Caroline added real value in pointing out ways to maximise space, rejig the layout, as well as taking on our ideas and ambitions to give it wow factor. She designed and submitted to Newham council, liaised with them and put together a building materials plan. They were reasonable value compared to others we are delighted with the results. Thanks.

Caroline and James met with us to talk through the whole process, get a sense of what we were looking for in our new space and gauge our design preferences. We were thrilled when they presented the final design - they'd taken everything that we'd talked about and created the most beautiful, bright, sleek but brilliantly functional space. It was extremely exciting to see how they'd interpreted our requirements. Caroline has been our main point of contact during the process and she's supported us hugely along every step of the way, always responding quickly and helpfully to any queries that we've had. MorsHarte Architects were a great team to work with and faultless throughout the design. They took my ideas and vision and designed an open plan living space, which has exceeded my expectations. They managed to blend some of the original 1960s features of the house together with contemporary design. James and Caroline met with me several times to listen to and understand my requirements, making some great suggestions that were creative yet practical. With a tight budget they worked closely with me to revise the design until it was exactly how I wanted and achievable financially. My project hit a snag, as my builder was unable to finish the initial project. However, MorsHarte Architects were really helpful in rethinking the design and revising my plan to meet the changing requirements. They were also able to source and recommend other building contractors to finish the project. Construction finished on schedule and I moved into my house just in time to get settled before I had my baby. Overall, MorsHarte Architects provided clarity, reliability, imagination and control. They were a great team to work with and I could not have been more pleased with the end result.

James and Caroline have to be commended for being the most patient architects we could have asked for! We approached Mors Harte with a very loose brief and absolutely no idea how to make the most of the space that we have. They have worked tirelessly to create a beautiful extension and refurbishment for our house in Loughton. The final plans really maximise light and tie together different family spaces with a creative and stylish approach. We were so impressed with their inventive ideas that were also incredibly practical. Every bit of communication has been a pleasure and we have enjoyed working with them very much.
