I would like to encourage anyone experiencing problems with their eyesight, whether it be cataracts or simply frustrated with wearing glasses. The service and care from the team was absolutely outstanding. Everything was explained in great detail including all of my options. On the day of surgery I was made to feel comfortable and assured. There was absolutely no discomfort before, during or after surgery and I could see fantastic results immediately after surgery. Alex was very professional throughout the whole experience with a great sense of humour too!. I'd do it again in a heartbeat - I cannot recommend Alex and his team enough.

I felt fully informed when I underwent replacement lens surgery by Mr Alex Shortt. He was very patient and kind and I was relaxed throughout the procedure. I can honestly say it was painless and because I was instructed on the aftercare in detail I made a swift recovery without complications. I would recommend eye surgery by Mr Shortt without hesitation and I am extremely pleased with the result. My vision is now so good I no longer require any spectacles or contact lenses.

Alex Shortt is the absolute best. Saved my eye, vision, and my sanity from a horrible assault in 2013. I could be blind and scarred for life right now but he's a living guardian angel and miracle worker... so lucky to have found him. He's an incredibly smart yet humble surgeon. He performed four surgeries (implant & cataract) and Lasik to save my vision, and whenever I see doctors around the world, they cannot give him enough compliments on what he's done for me. No one compares to his talent, expertise, and kindness. If you live in the UK or Europe, he's the one you should see.

I had been wearing spectacles since the age of 8, and now at 59 I am finally free of them. Mr Alex J Shortt is by far the best eye surgeon around. My wife and I had the pleasure to meet him at Optegra, Queen Anne Street, London. He is extremely professional, very well mannered, friendly and approachable. He explained all the options available to me, including the pros and cons, and without any pressure to have anything done.
