This was the first restaurant I visited with my family since the beginning of the pandemic, and boy oh boy was this place worth the wait! The place was effortless to find. A left turn out of Kilburn station and then another left, and you're right there! The food was delicious and was cooked from scratch. Very reasonably priced. The owner was super friendly, gave fantastic customer service. He always came out to offer refills and asked if we wanted anything else. I would be definitely returning, and I can't recommend it enough!

Had dinner with the family today. We ordered roti canai, kuey teow and nasi lemak(of course!) alongside our teh tarik. (Happily recommend as it isn't overly sweet!) Great food and charming and friendly owners. We also tried out their savoury/sweet snacks, cocodok pisang and karipap. Ate them too fast that we forgot to take pics! Would recommend and revisit soon. This place is a completely unexpected stunner for the area. The owners make beautiful authentic food made with love and it's plentiful. So tasty. Absolutely wonderful. Best chicken and noodles I've had (all made fresh) and the beef Rendang is special. You will not regret ordering from here. FACT.
Discovered this little gem in KIlburn, London. Just outside KIlburn station, turn left from the station entrance. Chef Mo and his sweet wife run this mom n pop place, serving delicious stir fries, and a many varied selection of items on the eclectic menu. Chef Mo is from Sabah, Malaysia and his wife from Johor, Malaysia. The nasi lemak with beef rendang is delicious, the beef is slow cooked tender, amply spiced and coconut rice is aromatic. The little sambal served with nasi lemak is mild but very flavourful and a joy to accompany every mouthful of the nasi! I also had the char kway teow which had plenty of hot-wok aroma (wok hei) that is a flavour which can only be produced by the high-heat flash frying typical of far eastern wok stir frying. Chef Mo's wife gave me a complimentary taste of their chicken curry puff and Malaysian-style banana fritter - both deliciously tasty and very authentically Malaysian. I am a Malaysian and a fussy eater so I really appreciated enjoying the food here as it brought back feelings of the home country, which I have not been able to visit for 18 months during travel restrictions of the pandemic. I am so lucky to enjoy this treat yesterday and to feel the warm Malaysian hearts of Chef Mo and his wife are a bonus. Definitely bring friends to enjoy as there are 4-5 tables right outside this cafe on the wide sunny pavement!
this place makes me want to move back to kilburn! the owners were so welcoming. i have a very particular coffee order, and chef mo said he'd try to remember for next time. i enjoyed the coffee and a curry puff while i waited for my nasi lemak (with beef) takeaway. so good! i will definitely be back. thank you for making my day!
If you want to taste the real authentic Malaysian & Indonesian cuisines, My Wok Box is definitely a place for it and one more thing, if you’re from Malaysia or Infonesia then the food will make you homesick! Wok Box is now on the list of my favorite oriental restaurants in London.
Was recommended this place by a family member and went there to try for myself. Wonderful service with an excellent variety of different foods on their menu. I ordered the nasi lemak and teh tarik and was not left dissapointed. Family members ordered a combination of char kuey teow, roti canai, and noodles - all foods were filling and very satisfying.
